From the late 1990's, the Authority has had a leak detection and repair program. Unaccounted-for-water loss in the 1990's was as high as 70 percent and has been reduced to just over 30 percent today. Annually the Authority has a contractor examine the entire water system for leaks and when they are found they are quickly repaired. Through this program, the water saved has allowed the Authority to provide water at a reasonable cost.

The Authority is in the process of developing Well #3, near the Village of Cleversburg, as a forth source of water for the system.

Contracts have been let for the Stream Bank, Driveway and Lagoon Baffle rehabilitation at the Water Treatment Plant.

The Authority is in the process of developing plans to replace water lines on the Roxbury Road.

Plans are being developed for improvements to the Orrstown water tank.

Plans are in the works to replace a water line, in conjunction with PennDot’s 174 project, increasing 174 to three (3) lanes.

The Authority is exploring the possibilities for additional storage capacity in the middle pressure zone of the Authorities water system.
